Lehman, Lee & Xu was voted as the Best China Patent Law Firm 2011 by DealMakers Law Awards

The DealMakers Law Awards 2011 recognize a select number of leading professional firms, across the globe, for their individual areas of specialization, within their geographical location. The DealMakers Law Awards 2011 are presented across all geographical locations that the Monthly Magazine penetrates. 81,500 electronic voting forms were issued. By close of business Friday 29th April 2011, votes received totaled 19642, demonstrating a 24.1% response rate. The poll represents who the readership believes are the leading professional firms, within the various areas of specialization, across the various geographical regions. As the Managing Director of Lehman, Lee & Xu, I am very pleased that it has won the award in all three categories and I would like to extend my thanks to the DealMakers and all those who participated in the voting.

Use of Legitimate Software Ensured in China's Central Gov't

The Chinese government will ensure that all computer software used by its 135 central government agencies is authorized and legitimate by the end of May, the National Copyright Administration (NCA) said Thursday.
Central government agencies spent a total of 140.91 million yuan (or 21.73 million U.S. dollars) to purchase 176,763 legitimate software packages between late October last year and the end of May this year, the NCA said in a statement

 

Samsung Asks to See New iPhone, iPad in Patent Battle with Apple

Samsung Electronics has required a U.S. federal judge to make Apple Inc provide its next-generation models of the iPhone and iPad to the the Korean electronics giant in the latest round of patent infringement battle, according to media reports Tuesday.

China Pledges Stronger IPR Protection as Microsoft CEO Visits

China on Wednesday pledged to further enhance efforts on intellectual property rights (IPR) protection and create a better environment for foreign investors.
Vice Premier Wang Qishan made the pledge in a meeting with Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer on Wednesday afternoon in downtown Beijing.

National IPR Enforcement Campaign Nails 60,000 Cases

Since China launched the special campaign against IPR infringement and counterfeiting and piracy in October 2010, as of May 13, administrative law-enforcement departments at different levels have put 114,280 cases on file, 65, 868 of which were concluded and 1,119 transferred to judicial organs, all these cases involve 3.733 billion yuan. Also, 7,359 illicit dens were swept during this period.
