1.TIANZHU AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL PARK

Beijing Tianzhu Airport Industrial Park (TZAIP) is located 1 km from the Capital International Airport, which is China's largest airport. By June 2002, 179 enterprises have joined TZAIP and the total investment was US$1.55 billion. Fifteen companies of the 50 over Multination Corporations were among Fortune 500 companies.

2. TIANZHU EXPORT PROCESSING ZONE

Beijing Tianzhu Export Processing Zone (TEPZ) was approved by the State Council in April 2000 to be one of the first 15 export processing zones in China. It remains the only State-level export processing zone in Beijing.

3. ZHONGGUANCUN SCIENCE PARK

As one of China's most famous and developed state-level high-tech parks, Zhongguancun Science Park (ZSP) is located in Haidian district, northwest of Beijing.
During the past ten years, ZSP has maintained an average economic growth rate of 30% annually. The actually utilized foreign direct investment has accumulated to USD 3.26 billion. Many world top 500 companies have joined ZSP, among which more than 20 have set up research centers in the Park.

4. PEKING UNIVERSITY SCIENCE PARK

Established in 1992, Peking University Science Park (PKUSP) was authorized as a National University Science Park by Chinese Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science & Technology jointly in May 2001. Among China's 22 national university Science parks, PKUSP had the largest group of member enterprises and the largest Sales revenue. The member enterprises enjoy preferential policies of the country, of Beijing Municipality as well as of Zhongguancun Science Park.

5.TSINGHUA UNIVERSITY SCIENCE PARK

Tsinghua University Science Park (THUSP) has long been recognized as an important R & D base for the capital's high-tech industries by the Beijing municipal government. 6. BEIJING SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT BASE

The development of Beijing Software Development Base is closely related to the Comprehensive advantages of Beijing in R& D strength, human resources, information And market. 7. CHONGQING ECONOMIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE

Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone (CQETDZ) was set up in the early1990s, and was approved by the State Council in April 1993 to be the first state-level economic and technological development zone in western in China. CQETDZ has developed a few key industries of electronics, information technologies, bio-pharmaceuticals, manufacturing of automobiles and motorcycles, fine chemicals, new materials, food and clothes.

Jiading Industrial Park (JDIP) was established in 1992 and was upgraded to be a municipal-level industrial park in 1994. 16.WAIGAOQIAO FREE TRADE ZONE

Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone (WGQFTZ) is China's earliest and biggest free trade zone. It was approved by the State Council in June, 1990 and now covers 10 sq km. By the end of 2001, 5,022 projects had been set up in the zone, and the total investment was USD6.56 billion.

17.ZHANGJIANG HIGH-TECH PARK

Zhangjiang High-tech Park (ZJHTP) is located in the central part of Pudong New District, Shanghai. 18.SONGJIANG EXPORT PROCESSING ZONE

Shanghai Songjiang Export Processing Zone was officially established by the State Council on 27 April 2000. Key industries encouraged by SJEPZ include information technology, bio-pharmaceuticals, new building materials, fine chemicals and light machinery. Investors in the zone can enjoy special tax incentives. 19.SHANGHAI SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT PARK

Shanghai Jiaotong University Science Park (SJTUSP) was set up in 1999 and was authorized the status of National University Science Park in May 2001. 22.TIANJIN PORT FREE TRADE ZONE

Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone (TJFTZ) was approved by the State Council in May 1991. It is the biggest free trade zone in North China and a main gateway to the sea for several administrative regions in North China and the Republic of Mongolia. The investment for infrastructure development was about RMB1.62 billion. Baotai Industrial Park is a key project of TJFTZ, it is a joint venture between TJFTZ and Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone. The Park is mainly devoted to the development of technology-intensive and energy-saving technologies and environmentally friendly projects.

23. TIANJIN EXPORT PROCESSING ZONE

Tianjin Export Processing Zone (TJEPZ) is one of the export processing zones approved to set up on 27 April 2000 by the State Council. It is a closed special area under the custody of the customs. Characterized as "within the territory but out of tariff", TJEPZ is designed to host processing-oriented foreign companies while special policies and incentives are granted by the central government. TJEPZ enterprises have direct and easy access to a pool of engineering and managerial talent.

24. TIANJIN HIGH-TECH PARK

Tianjin High-tech Park (TJHTP), also known as Wuqing High-tech Park, was approved by the State Council in 1991. The total planned area is 24.8sq km. The main investment fields include electronics, information technology, new materials especially new construction materials, bio-engineering, magnetic materials, bio-pharmaceutical and manufacturing of healthcare products.

25. TIANJIN UNIVERSITY SCIENCE PARK

Located in Tianjin municipality, the Tianjin University Science Park (TJUSP) comprises the 40acre TJU Campus Zone, the 15-acre Campus Ring Zone and 30-acre Industrial Zone located at Tianjin Economic & Technological Development Area (TEDA). An important feature of TJUSP is its cooperative relationship with TEDA. The two sides formed TJUSP Science & Technologies Development Corporation to manage and promote TJUSP.

26. NANNING ECONOMIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE

Nanning Economic and Technological Development Zone (NNETDZ) was established in October 1992, and managed directly by the people Government of Nanning City. It was approved as a national ETDZ in May 2001.Key industries encouraged by NNETDZ include papermaking, bio-technology, chemical engineering and food processing. 28. GUILIN HIGH-TECH PARK

Guilin High-tech Park is a state-level industrial park in Guilin city of Guangxi Autonomous Region, it is the first high-tech park in five Auto-nomous Region. 29.HOHHOT ECONOMIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE

Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Zone in northwest China is located at the periphery of Hohhot city and was build in 1992. It was approved in 1995 by the Autonomous Region Government as a provincial-level development zone. In July the zone was upgraded to a state-level development zone by the State Council. Five key industries such as information technology, biological engineering, pharmaceuticals, new materials and fine chemicals are stressed in the Zone.

30.BAOTOU HIGH-TECH PARK

Baotou High-tech Park (BTHTP) is located in Baotou, which is a key industrial city of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The total land area of the park is 49sq km. In the park, there is a university science park a science & technology zone and China's first incubation zone for rare earth enterprises. BTHTP focuses on industrial sectors like rare earth products, information technologies, metallurgical technologies, new materials, light industry and food processing.

31.YINCHUAN ECONOMIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE

Yinchuan Economic and Technological Development Zone (YCETDZ) was approved and established by the State Council in July 2001. YCETDZ is the only state-level economic and technological development zone in Ningxia Autonomous Region. It is a new economic region with high-tech economic and technological development zone in Ningxia Autonomous Region. It is a new economic region with high-tech enterprises and a base for the opening of Western China.

32.URUMQI ECONOMIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE

Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone (UETDZ) was established in 1992 and the zone was officially approved by the State Council on 25 August 1994. Over 210 projects have been set up in UETDZ, and there are 65 foreign businesses currently operation in UETDZ. The contractual and utilized foreign investment was USD145.4 million and USD 68.8 million respectively.

33.YINING BORDER ECONOMIC COOPERATION ZONE

Yining Border Economic Cooperation Zone was established in 1992, and it was authorized by the State Council as a national border zone. It is located in Yining City. The zone has attracted an investment commitment of over RMB110 million. Over 95 enterprises have been established in the zone, and most of them are engaged in export-oriented trade, textile, wine brewing, paper manufacturing, pharmaceuticals construction materials, forestry and tourism.

34. URUMQI HIGH-TECH PARK

Urumqi High-tech Park was approved by the State Council in 1992 and is the only state-level high-tech park in Xinjiang Autonomous Region. The park is located in the urban area of Urumqi, the capital city of Xinjiang. Urumqi is the economic, commercial and cultural center and is an important city along the Second Asia-Europe Continental Bridge. More than 51 minorities live in the city, making it among the regions with the most minorities in China.

Hefei Economics and Technological Development Area (HFETDZ) is a State-level development zone established in April 1993. Wuhu Economic and Technological Development Zone was established and approved by the State Council in April 1993 and has carried our preferential policies similar to coastal development zones. Hefei High-tech Park is located in the southeast of Hefei, the capital city of Anhui Province. It was established in October 1990 and was approved by the State Council as a national high-tech park in March 1991. In 1997, it became a high-tech park opened for member nations of Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation. 41. HEFEI UNIVERSITY SCIENCE PARK

Located in the southwest of Hefei, Hefei University Science Park is jointly developed by University of Science & Technology of China, Anhui University and Hegei University of Technology. In 2001, the park was awarded the status of National University Science Park. The university has established cooperation with major Chinese enterprises such as Daqing Petroleum Administration, Sino Petrochemicals, Baoshan steel, Legend and Hai'er. Fuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone (FZETDZ) was established in January 1985 with the approval from the State Council. FZETDZ is China's only open development zone that combines a stat-level development zone, a free trade zone, a Taiwanese investment zone and a high-tech park altogether.

In May 1989, as trade activities became more common between Mainland China and Taiwan, the State Council decided to set up a Taiwanese investment zone in the Xiamen Haicang areas. Haicang Taiwan Investment Zone was established with a planned area of 100 sq km as the largest Taiwanese investment zone in Mainland China.

Xiamen High-tech Park is located in the suburbs of Xiamen city, Fujian Province. It was established in December 1990 and was awarded the state-level status in March 1991. 51. FUZHOU SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT PARK

Fuzhou Software Development Park is located in Fuzhou. With a total development area of 76.5 hectares, the park is demarcated into two areas, namely the 1.5-hectare Software Development Center and the 75-hectare Software Industrial Base. 57.SHANTOU FREE TRADE ZONE

Shantou Free Trade Zone is located in Dahao District of Shantou SEZ (SFTZ). It was approved by State Council in early January 1993, and has a planned area of 2.34 sq km. In December 1993, SFTZ passed the inspection by General Customs Administration and started hailing for foreign investment especially after 1996. Shantou enjoys unique locational advantage in regional transit transportation. It has a long history of foreign trade and is among China's first four Special Economic Zone.

58.SHENZHEN GRAND INDUSTRIAL ZONE

Shenzhen Grand Industrial Zone formerly known as Shenzhen Longgang Grand Industrial Zone, was established by the Shenzhen Municipal Government in July 1994.
