What should I take with me to the one-stop business center in order to register a JV?

You should first get the company name registered with Beijing MOFTEC (Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation), and then take all of the following documents with you to the one-stop business center:

  • Proof of company name registration.
  • Application for confirmation of the project proposal - as well as the examination and approval of the feasibility study report.
  • Letter of intent to start the proposed project.
  • The business license of the Chinese party.
  • The business license of the foreign party and the personal ID documents of the foreign investor's representative.
  • Property rights documents of the proposed business site and the leasing agreement with the landlord or property owner of the building.
  • Application for examination and approval of the JV contract (including official copies), and articles of association and board of directors.
  • A list of the board of directors, letters of appointment for the foreign and Chinese board members as well as their personal ID documents.
  • Environmental Certificate as required when the project involves environmental protection issues.
