I know that some districts of Beijing have established one-stop business centers to facilitate Joint Venture (JV) registration. Does this mean that foreign investors can now have a JV registered in one trip to such a one-stop business center?

While the establishment of one-stop business centers let foreign investors enjoy the conveniences of having officials from more than ten government departments under one roof, it doesn't mean that you will be able to set up a JV or wholly foreign owned enterprise (WFOE) in only one trip. A few visits to the municipal-level authorities are still necessary because districts governments do not have the power to approve the licensing or operation of foreign ventures.
