Victoria Peak

Victoria Peak

Victoria Peak that towers in the west of Hong Kong Island, 552m (1810ft) above sea level, provides visitors with spectacular views of the Hong Kong skyline and the Victoria Harbour. The 112-year old Peak Tram, the city's oldest mode of transport, provides a scenic ride up from the city centre to the top of the Peak. At the top of the peak, there is the Peak Tower, a bowl shaped architecture that features the Ripley's "Believe It or Not" Museum and a ride through a dark tunnel called the "Rise of The Dragon". Inside the museum there are various exhibits, such as a shark aquarium, and a primitive forest.

Ocean Park

Ocean Park is one of the biggest amusement and entertainment complexes of its type in south-east Asia. Inside the park, there is a coral reef aquarium that features over four thousand different kinds of tropical fishes; a village with a temple and a Buddhist pagoda; roller-coasters and swing-to-sky pendulum boat; and an ocean theatre. The ocean sky-scraper tower has a revolving cabin to look down at the wonderful scenery of the ocean area and islands.

Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre

The Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre first opened in 1988 and is in the bustling Wanchai district. It is one of Hong Kong's defining landmarks with functional meeting and exhibition venues. The huge aluminum roof represents the pattern of a seabird's wing, and the vast glass walls create a dramatic vista.

Aberdeen

Aberdeen

Aberdeen was previously a fishing village, and still maintains the characteristics of a traditional fishing village even with the recent commercial development in this district. The brightly decorated trawlers and sampans that can be used as floating homes for Aberdeen's fishermen, fill a harbour whose hillsides are amassed with residential towers and woodland, as well as Hong Kong's glitzy floating restaurants.

Repulse Bay

Repulse Bay

Repulse Bay is a sandy beach on the south side of Hong Kong Island. Along the bay, there is a "Sea View Tower" that has images, inside the tower, of Tin Hau (the Queen of Heaven and Protectress of Seafarers) and Goddess of Mercy (Avalokitesvara). The "Bridge of Longevity", beside the tower, has the image of Yuexia Laoren (the god of matchmaker) with a conjugal felicity stone besides him.

Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple

Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple

Wong Tai Sin is a fine example of a traditional Chinese temple with its red pillars, a golden roof adorned with blue friezes, yellow latticework, and multi-colored carvings. Formerly a Rose Garden, the temple is situated on the southern slope of Lion Rock in Hong Kong. On the main altar of the temple there is a painting of Wong Tai Sin. Whilst, the area of the side altar is devoted to the much-loved rascal known as the "Monkey King".

Stanley Market

Stanley, a coastal village on the southern side of Hong Kong Island, was formerly a small fishing village. The market is one of the famous open-air markets in Hong Kong, which sells silk garments, art, Chinese costumes, souvenirs, ornaments and a variety of other goods.
