Although a Foreign Representative Office must go through a designated employment agency, you will not necessarily have to go through the Beijing Foreign Enterprise Services Corporation. Today there are over 70 authorized Foreign Service Corporations who provide local staff to representative offices in 25 provinces and municipalities. Employment formalities require that the Representative Office signs a contract with a service agency who will themselves sign a contract with the employee that it recommends.
