Widespread counterfeiting of agrochemicals in China poses a threat to public health. It also complicates the efforts of foreign invested companies to procure local agricultural products. Farmers are taking a risk every time they purchase agricultural chemicals. Central and local governments should put more efforts in anti-counterfeiting measures.
