Edward E. Lehman Invited on to CCTV to Discuss SANY’s Successful Lawsuit Against Obama

Beijing – July 21, 2014 – The CCTV (China Central Television) invited Mr. Edward Lehman, the managing director of Lehman, Lee and Xu, to take part in a CCTV show discussing SANY’s recent lawsuit against Obama. The discussion covered a range of topics including: How we should view the early victory for the SANY group, why was SANY’s buy offer seen as a national security risk by CFIUS, possible repercussions if other countries start screening firms as the US do, what is expected for future overseas investment in the US and trends that are expected for future investment from China.

 

Mr. Lehman answers questions about what legal options Obama has in this situation, the issue regarding why SANY might have been deemed a security risk and how the US should have handled the situation, the reasons the court of appeals made the judgment they did and the possibly “retaliatory” regulations China has put in place.
