Government Requires Strengthening Current Military Real Property Management

In an attempt to strengthen the army's centralized management of real property ownership, The General Staff Department, General Political Department, General Logistics Department (GLD) and General Armament Department have jointly released the "Opinions on Further Strengthening the Military Real Property Management under New Circumstances." In addition to centralizing the management of real property ownership, the opinion states that the army will also centralize the reserve of vacant and spare property, and centralize the deployment and utilization of real property.

The opinion states that The exchange or assignment of real property, regardless of the quantity, must be approved by the General Logistics Department and be carried out by the logistics department of military-level entities. It also forbids any entity from assigning any land for military use or accepting State-owned land deployed by local government. The opinion also authorizes the GLD to adjust and utilize all the real property within the whole army and directly release adjustment notices to all levels and all departments.
